As matches progress, they naturally evolve through distinct phases. The early minutes are spent in relatively safe expansion across unclaimed territory. The mid-game tightens dramatically as territories collide and players begin contesting totem locations. This is when the game becomes most intense.

It dramatically increases your peripheral vision. You can see enemy players approaching from 30% further away. More importantly, you can see the edges of their territory lines extending before they reach your screen. This gives you an extra 0.5–1 full second to react—the difference between life and death.
