Durood-e-Najat (دُرودِ نَجات), often referred to as Durood-e-Tanjeena (دُرودِ تَنجینا) or Ṣalāt al-Tanjeena, is a non-obligatory, highly revered supplication in which a believer sends blessings upon the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ while simultaneously asking Allah for deliverance from fears, calamities, sins, and difficulties. The word Tanjeena comes from the same Arabic root as "Najat," meaning salvation and rescue.
