M-Audio’s official Windows 11 Compatibility Matrix confirms that only modern interfaces like the M-Track Solo, Duo, and AIR series receive native support. The MobilePre USB is omitted entirely.

Windows 11 includes a security feature called Memory Integrity (Core Isolation) that blocks unsigned or ancient drivers from loading. M-Audio (now owned by inMusic) has not released a new driver for the MobilePre since 2012. Do not hold your breath. The solutions above are the only viable paths forward.
The M-Audio MobilePre USB (1st and 2nd generation) was built for older operating systems, natively capping support at Windows 7. Because Windows 11 shares a underlying core architecture with Windows 10, the historic 64-bit architecture drivers can technically be forced into operation if the standard digital signature and OS check systems are bypassed.
